      1     Opening of the meeting

      The Con-conveners will  welcome participants, outline priorities for the meeting  and provide an overview of local  facilities, including Secretariat support, Internet access and extracurricular activities.

      2     Protocols for the collection and analysis of krill acoustic data from fishing vessels, with emphasis on Simrad echosounders (EK60, ES60/70)

      SG-ASAM will review automated methods for processing acoustic data collected on krill fishing vessels according to the established CCAMLR Protocols as outlined in the SG-ASAM-16 Report (163.47 KB).

      3     Analysis of data collected from fishing vessels

      SG-ASAM will  review data collected by krill fishing vessels during 2015/16 and 2016/17 with particular emphasis on

      1. occupation of repeat transects
      2. fishing-vessel-based regional surveys
      3. data collection during fishing operations.
      4     Survey design

      Review of survey and sampling design for future surveys and for acoustic data collected during fishing operations.

      5     Other business
      6     Advice to the Scientific Committee
      7     Adoption of report and close of meeting.
