    1     Opening of the meeting
2     Standardised procedures for survey design, data analysis and quality control of acoustically derived areal krill biomass estimates to CCAMLR
    2.1     Dedicated surveys

The Working Group will consider the content and quality assurance required to deliver krill biomass estimates from dedicated surveys to CCAMLR for use in management, including survey design, data collection protocols, data analysis protocols, quality checking methods and reporting needed.

    3     Krill biomass estimates
    3.1     Area 48
    3.1.1     Subarea biomass estimates

The Working Group will review and determine estimates of subarea biomass from large-scale surveys and any other relevant scale survey.

3.1.2     Local-scale biomass estimates within subareas relevant to the area of operation of the krill fishery

The Working Group will review the local-scale strata biomass estimates from relevant surveys.

    3.2     Area 58

The Working Group will review survey results for biomass estimates from the East Antarctic surveys.

4     Acoustic observations of krill to inform spatial and temporal dynamics of krill
4.1     Survey on nominated transects by fishing vessels

The Working Group will consider the design of acoustic data collection on CCAMLR nominated transects and reporting needed from fishing vessels, including where and when acoustic data are collected, as well as ancillary data required for processing acoustic data (calibration data, krill length frequency data, environmental data, etc.).

4.2     Acoustic observation from various platforms

The Working Group will consider design and analysis methods to examine temporal variability of krill distribution by observations from various sources (e.g. gliders, moorings, and acoustic data collected during routine fishing activities).

    5     Other business
    5.1     Chair’s report of the SC-Symposium

The Working Group will review the Chair’s report of the SC-Symposium, suggest any revisions to the terms of reference, and arrange its workplan to address the priority issues of the Scientific Committee.

5.2     Development of an acoustic data repository

The Working Group will consider and provide advice on the development of an acoustic data repository, including the content of data required and structure of the database.

    5.3     Data Access Rules (DSAG)

The Working Group will consider the how the Data Access Rules are applied to its work.

6     Adoption of the report and close of the meeting
