Abstract
In this paper, the authors consider inter-vessel variability in the length composition of krill in catches from research and commercial catches in the context of gear designs and the efficiency of observer sampling design in krill fishery. Analysis was provided using data obtained in the local fishing ground within several days to exclude any influence of krill drift on results obtained under examples of fishing grounds in Subarea 48.1 and 48.2.
