      Agenda

      1     Opening of the meeting
      2     Krill biomass survey estimates
2.1.1     Subarea biomass estimates from 2019 and any other relevant survey data

The Working Group will determine the subarea biomass from the 2019 large-scale survey and any other relevant scale survey.

2.1.2     Local-scale biomass estimates within subareas relevant to the area of operation of the krill fishery

The Working Group will review the local-scale strata biomass estimates from relevant surveys.

2.2.1     Area 58 subarea estimates of krill biomass

The Working Group will review survey results for biomass estimates from the East Antarctic surveys conducted by Japan (Division 58.4.1) and Australia (Division 58.4.2).

3     Survey design for future routine biomass estimates

The Working Group will consider survey designs: spatial and temporal scale, acoustic and trawl data collection and processing, which would be required to deliver regular updates on krill biomass for management at subarea and local scales.

4     Acoustic observations of krill to inform spatial and temporal dynamics of krill

The Working Group will consider collection and analysis methods for acoustic data to examine temporal variability of krill distribution (e.g. moorings, repeated transects), spatial distribution during fishing activities (e.g. acoustic data collected during routine fishing activities).

5     Advice to the Scientific Committee
6     Adoption of the report and close of the meeting
