Comments on the observer sampling protocol on the krill fishery

In this paper, the authors consider the efficiency of observer krill samples in the context of Scientific Observer’s Manual to sample 200 individuals every 3 or 5 days regardless of the number of hauls and the catch values per haul and per day (CM 51-06). The authors have used data obtained on-board Russian vessel Komandor operated in Subares 48.1 and 48.2 during season 2024.
