Fishery characterisation for Antarctic toothfish (Dissostichus mawsoni) and Patagonian toothfish (D. eleginoides) in Subarea 48.4

This paper provides a summary of catch and effort in the Antarctic toothfish (Dissostichus mawsoni) and Patagonian toothfish (D. eleginoides) fisheries around Subarea 48.4, together with more detailed description of the biological characteristics of the catch of both toothfish species between the 2014 to 2025 fishing seasons. During this time period, species-specific assessments were produced for Subarea 48.4. The paper summarises population demographics for both species, complementing the information provided in the Antarctic and Patagonian toothfish assessments, as well as the CCAMLR Subarea 48.4 Fishery Report and Stock Annex.
