Distribution of young icefishes in the South Georgia shelf area on the basis of juvenile surveys data

The results obtained during juvenile surveys in Subarea 48.3 are presented. In the period from 1984 to 1990 AtlantNIRO carried out 6 surveys of that type. 40 fish species from 15 families were found in the juvenile trawl catches. Data are given on young icefishes distribution, length composition, vertical diurnal migrations and young Champsocephalus gunnari by-catches in krill fishery.
