Progress with recommendations from the CCAMLR Workshop on Climate Change

The outcomes of the Workshop on Climate Change (WS-CC-2023) were reported to the Scientific Committee and all recommendations were endorsed (SC-CAMLR-42). This paper highlights those recommendations directed to WG-FSA. Recalling that climate change is a standing item for consideration for all CCAMLR Working Groups, this paper encourages WG-FSA to progress recommendations directed to them; contribute to other recommendations and tasks where appropriate; and include consideration of climate change in their advice. Here we provide tables that summarise the Workshop outcomes and aim to support continued progress with integrating the Workshop outcomes and climate change considerations throughout CCAMLR’s work programme. WG-FSA are encouraged to update the tables with a view to submitting to SC-CAMLR-43, to help track and report ongoing progress with WS-CC-2023 recommendations.
