Review of seabird bycatch mitigation in CCAMLR demersal longline fisheries

CCAMLR conservation measures for seabird bycatch mitigation in demersal longline fisheries in the Convention Area have been reviewed. The review assesses whether there have been any recent developments concerning seabird bycatch mitigation technologies and techniques, particularly those of the Agreement on the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels (ACAP), which would have application to CCAMLR’s demersal longline fisheries.
