Summary of Australia’s recent research on Antarctic krill and interactions in the East Antarctic ecosystem

Here we highlight a collection of multidisciplinary primary literature papers on the East Antarctic ecosystem and Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) published as a research topic in Frontiers in Marine Science (Kawaguchi et al., 2025).   We summarise this endeavour and demonstrate the ongoing long-term commitment of Australia and teams of international researchers to furthering our understanding and, in-turn, management of East Antarctica.
