Резюме

The harmonisation process is a key mechanism to achieve compatibility between krill fishery management and marine spatial protection in the Antarctic Peninsula and Scotia Arc region. Harmonisation is a science-based pathway to implement CCAMLR’s precautionary and ecosystem-based management principles by aligning spatial and temporal conservation measures with the revised krill fishery management approach. This paper seeks to highlight the value of this process as a means of fostering long-term sustainability, reducing potential Members' conflicts, and strengthening the effectiveness of CCAMLR’s governance
