Резюме

In the Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides) fishery occurred in Kerguelen and Crozet, three species of skates are mainly caught as bycatch. Determination of maturity stage of bycatch species by scientific observers is opportunistic resulting in low sample size, especially for females for which dissection is needed. However, length-at-maturity was estimated for Bathyraja eatonii and B. irrasa in Kerguelen and Amblyraja taaf in Crozet. B. irrasa revealed the largest length-at-maturity for males and females (both > 100 cm TL) with the best goodness-of-fit through all models. B. eatonii and A. taaf showed length-at-maturity approximating 80 cm TL except for females A. taaf (98 cm TL) which also exhibit very low goodness-of-fit (0.1%)
