Power analysis to assist in establishing a sampling regime for Conversion Factors in CCAMLR toothfish fisheries.

A power analysis was conducted to estimate the number of longline sets and the number of fish sampled from each set that would be required to reach an 80% power in detecting a 3% change in conversion factor values over a month. Required sample sizes varied among vessels with a trade-off between sampling frequency and the number of fish per set. A single rule could be determined based on these results.
