Turning the page on CCAMLR’s response to climate change

In this paper, ASOC revisits some of the recommendations it has made in recent years on climate change issues, with a focus on providing examples of potential spatial management actions, and the data information needs and flow required to implement climate change action. ASOC suggests that it is time to turn the page on CCAMLR response to climate change. Adopting MPAs is an overarching issue for CCAMLR, but it is particularly urgent at present. While CCAMLR has taken some nominal action on climate change, including the establishment of SASS and the adoption of a climate change Resolution, more, and more tangible and faster climate actions.
