    Abstract

The stock of Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides) in Subarea 58.5.1 is assessed with the integrated age-structured model Casal2. This model includes many biological parameters, that are potentially influenced by climate change. It is necessary to explore potential temporal trends of these parameters, such as length, age, sex, maturity stage, etc. We investigated the temporal trends of maturity, length-weight relationship, growth and sex-ratios. While no significant temporal trends were identified, notable differences between males and females were observed. These findings suggest that a sex-specific stock assessment model would more accurately capture these biological distinctions.
