One new proposal for the CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Program (CEMP) Special Fund was submitted, proposing to install a satellite-linked cameras to monitor penguin populations in the South Orkney Islands to test a new methodology for evaluating breeding success in these remote areas. The management panel recommended funding the proposal noting it was a useful pilot study that fit the CEMP Special Fund assessment criteria. Five ongoing projects were monitored in 2025/26 and progress reports are included. Two projects will continue in 2025/26. One additional project is complete and will be reported to WG-EMM-2026, and a fourth has been completed with a final report submitted to WG-EMM-2024. The fifth project has requested a 1-year no-cost extension to adapt to logistical constraints and plans to be implemented in 2025/26.
