Resumen
In 2022, the European Union (EU) provided a grant of €60 000 (EU Project 101092707-CCAMLRSupport2022) to support CCAMLR’s continued collaborative work with INTERPOL during 2023 and 2024 to identify and deter illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities that undermine the objectives of the CAMLR Convention. This paper provides the final report submitted by INTERPOL in relation to activities during 2023 and 2024. This paper also provides an overview of anticipated activities in collaboration with INTERPOL and the International Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (IMCS) Network’s Joint Analytical Cell (JAC) to identify and deter IUU fishing in a new EU grant (EU Project 101176229-CCAMLRSupport2024) through 31 December 2025.
