Where we are for the revision of CM 51-07

Based on a series of significant progress made by SC-CAMLR towards a sound science-based krill management approach since 2019, at its annual meeting in 2021 the Commission endorsed the rollover of CM 51-07 for one year to provide time to consolidate the revision of the new approach in Subarea 48.1. To facilitate discussion and decision-making towards the revision of CM 51-07 in 2022, we summarized the further progresses made by WG-ASAM-2022, WG-SAM-2022 and WG-EMM-2022,  and presented updated spatial and seasonal allocation of krill catch limit based on latest progress made by the above mentioned Working Group meetings as well a revised harvest rate estimate presented to this WG-FSA-2022 meeting. Any further refinement can be easily done based the advice at this WG-FSA-2022 meeting.
