Résumé
The CCAMLR Scholarship Scheme received four applications in 2023 (Poland, Russia, China, and Norway). The panel also noted that due to extensions implemented as a response to Covid constraints on meeting participation, the Schem supported 6 scholarships this year, with only one now continuing into its second year for 2024. The panel recommended up to two scholarships could be awarded by the Scientific Committee, to Dr. Xiuxia Mu (China) for work on spatial population characteristics of krill, and to Ms. Kinga Hoszek (Poland) for on potential effects of pollutants on trophic dynamics of krill and penguins. Summaries of activities by all the active scholarship recipients are included.
