    Résumé

This paper summarises data collected by Scheme of International Scientific Observation observers and vessels reporting incidental interactions between fishing vessels, seabirds and marine mammals during fishing activities undertaken during the 2025 season, and presents extrapolations of incidents based on per observed cruise observation effort. The per-cruise extrapolated total of 30 seabirds caught by longlines as of 15 September 2025 is the second lowest on record, although data from several fisheries are still outstanding. Three incidents of marine mammal mortalities were recorded in both longline and trawl fisheries.
