The CCAMLR-COLTO Tagging Workshop (WS-TAG-2023) recommended to the FSA Working Group (WG-FSA-2023) that Members, with the assistance from the Secretariat, further develop tagging training materials for vessel crew and observers, noting that training materials should include a manual and best-practice video (WS-TAG-2023 paragraphs 2.42 and 2.39). WG-FSA recalled that CapMarine (a private South African based Company) agreed to revise the tagging training material including its translation (WG-FSA-2023, paragraph 4.30).
CapMarine worked with ReWild Africa to produce a tagging video, and we extend our sincere thanks to COLTO for funding the project. We invite Members to review the video and provide any additional comments before finalising it and translating the subtitles into four languages (Spanish, French, Russian, and Indonesian).
