Support to CCAMLR to identify and deter IUU fishing activities – INTERPOL and JAC

In 2024, the European Union (EU) provided a grant to support CCAMLR’s continued collaborative work with INTERPOL and the Joint Analytical Cell (JAC) to identify and deter illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities that undermine the objectives of the CAMLR Convention. This paper provides interim reports submitted by INTERPOL and the JAC in relation to activities under this grant through 30 May 2025, and 30 June 2025 respectively as well as an overview of anticipated activities for the remainder of 2025.
