Update on information related to Conservation Measure 10-08

Conservation Measure (CM) 10-08 requires that Contracting Parties shall take appropriate measures in order to verify and take action in response to nationals found responsible for, benefiting from, supporting or engaging in any activities described in CM 10-06 and CM 10-07 (i.e., illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing or related activities). As requested by the Commission, the Secretariat continues to report on any updates relevant to CM 10-08 through the analysis of relevant, available data. This update also references recent work undertaken in collaboration with the Joint Analytical Cell (JAC) using open-source information to update relevant information on beneficial ownership and identify any individuals or entities with potential historic associations with IUU activity for consideration by Contracting Parties.
