A preliminary look at bycatch data in Prince Edward and Marion Islands Sub area 58.7 and area 51 outside CCAMLR area

The study explores the data collected in Subarea 58.7 and area 51 from the beginning of the fishery in 1996. Biological data for bycatch collected by observers were analysed and parameter related to length-weight relationships were estimated for grenadiers and blue antimora. Length weight relationships of Macrourus carinatus ,  Macrourus holotrachys  and some Skates and Rays including Raja Georgiana were produced. The study is part of data improvement programme aimed at better management of bycatch and the fishery at large in these areas.
