    1     Opening of the meeting

    The Chair (Dr D. Welsford) will open the meeting and welcome delegations of CCAMLR Members and Observers. The agenda and organisation of the meeting will be discussed. The e-group summaries from the working group conveners will be presented.

    2     Harvested species

    Data reported for the current season, as well as any updates on the notifications for fisheries in the 2020/21 season, will be presented. Information relating to fisheries in the Convention Area will be reviewed and relevant advice provided to the Commission. Information relating to non-target catches (fish, seabirds and marine mammals) in fisheries in the Convention Area will be reviewed and relevant advice provided to the Commission.

    3     Priorities for work of the Scientific Committee and its working groups

    The priorities for the intersessional activities of the Scientific Committee in 2020/21 will be discussed and planned.

    4     Advice to the Commission

    The Scientific Committee will provide advice to Commission on:

    1. conservation measures that are due to lapse at the end of 2020
    2. revisions to any other conservation measures as necessary, on the basis of the best available science.

    Other scientific advice requested by the Commission (e.g. on climate change and spatial management) would also be discussed under this agenda item.

    5     Adoption of report of the Thirty-ninth Meeting.

    The Scientific Committee will adopt the report of its Thirty-ninth Meeting.
