    Abstract

The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development aims to gather ocean stakeholders worldwide to ensure science can fully support sustainable development of the world’s oceans, and to strengthen international cooperation in development of scientific research and innovative technologies. The Southern Ocean Action Plan was published in April 2022, and provides an initial roadmap to strengthen links between science, industry and policy, as well as to encourage internationally collaborative activities in order to address existing gaps in our knowledge and data coverage. CCAMLR Members are encouraged to further participate in Southern Ocean Decade activities.
