    Abstract

    With the lapse of CM 51-07, the spatial and temporal dynamics of the krill fishery in Statistical Area 48 changed in the 2024/25 season and the trigger level of 620,000 t specified in CM 51-01 was reached on 1 August 2025. This paper summarises the operations in the 2024/25 season compared with recent seasons to describe how the fishery responded to the management change and to inform future management options.
