ASOC Report to CCAMLR

ASOC has submitted several background papers to CCAMLR-43, including: the safety and environmental impact of fishing vessels, a report from the compliance workshop co-hosted with the Republic of Korea, an analysis of the FAO transshipment guidelines, and the relationship between science and conservation. Additionally, ASOC has submitted several papers presenting the results of scientific research relevant to CCAMLR. Throughout the intersessional period, ASOC and its member organizations have actively supported Antarctic conservation by funding scientific research, fostering dialogue among CCAMLR stakeholders, supporting the harmonization symposium, and organizing various educational and outreach initiatives.
