    Résumé

This paper examines the implementation of CCAMLR Conservation Measure 10-03 by reconciling port inspection records with AIS and VMS data for 2023–2024. The analysis covered 95 AIS-identified trips and 261 inspection reports, comparing outcomes by species, port country, and vessel. Most Contracting Parties appeared to meet inspection obligations, though gaps were noted for some krill and toothfish vessels. Results highlight the value of AIS as a complementary tool to CCAMLR’s monitoring systems, while also underscoring the need for continued awareness-raising and capacity-building among Contracting Parties regarding inspection obligations.
