Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) data discovery tool and regional observational coverage mapping to support gap analyses

This paper outlines a key product and mapping activity provided by the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) that can assist with gap analyses to identify CCAMLR monitoring needs, data sources and derived metrics. SOOSmap (soosmap.aq) is a data visualisation and dissemination tool that can provide observational data and information for gap analyses to inform ecosystem-based management of fisheries.  Similarly, mapping of regional observational data coverage by SOOS Regional Working groups can assist with gap analyses and monitoring needs.
