New fishery research proposal under CM 24-01, paragraph 3, to continue the acoustic-trawl survey Champsocephalus gunnari in statistical subarea 48.2 for 2024 and 2025

Mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari) is one of the most common and widespread species of Antarctic fish. Ukraine proposes to continue a local acoustic-trawl survey of Champsocephalus gunnari in the statistical Subarea 48.2 for 2024 and 2025. The main objective of the research is to determine the distribution and the abundance of Champsocephalus gunnari in the Subarea 48.2. Application format for submitting finfish research proposals in accordance with paragraph 3 of conservation measure 24-01 and paragraph 6(iii) of conservation measure 21-02 for our survey presented to WG-SAM-2022 (WG-SAM-2022/06 Rev.1)
