Antarctic and Southern Ocean climate change and the environment: update on recent research and SCAR activities relevant to CCAMLR

This paper provides updates on recent climate change research and observed changes that are relevant to discussions and decision-making by the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) and the Scientific Committee (SC-CAMLR). SCAR is also continuing to address activities relating to recommendations from the 2023 CCAMLR Workshop on Climate Change, including the development of a climate model framework. Other relevant activities include the establishment of a new SCAR Action Group on Fish, the development of a range of Antarctic Climate Indicators, and establishment of a new SCAR Action Group on Climate to assess and report on emerging policy-relevant issues.
